Wednesday 30th October 2013
8.35am- 12.00pm: Normal school lessons
12.00pm - 1.00pm: Collected all equipment needed, drums, guitars etc.
1.00pm - 1.15pm: en route to location (Leire Village Hall)
1.15pm - 2.00pm: Set up all equipment ready to start filming
2.00pm - 2.15pm: Had lunch on set with all band member discussing filming
2.15pm - 7.15pm: Filmed draft video, occasional breaks
7.15pm - 8.00pm: Finished filming packed away equipment and left location

Editing Day:
Thursday 31st October 2013
8.35am - 3.10pm: All school day spent on editing with occasional breaks for lunch etc.
3.10pm - 3.15pm: Draft video on blog, signed in at English office..

Chosen Genre/Song/Band name

After looking at lots of different bands involved in the indie etc genre of music e.g Foals, Passion Pit, Friendly Fires, The Vaccines etc. We have finally decided on basing our music video on the song "Radar Detector by the band, Darwin Deez" whom are an American indie band.

We chose this genre of music as we felt it would be the best for us to create a performance video and for us to find the right looking style people for the band as we know people who have the similar look to the band Darwin Deez. The song which we have chosen is reasonably slow and can be easy for us to imitate.

If we were to chose a band such as Kasabian or Oasis, it would have been more difficult to find the correct looking people as theses bands have a whole different look to themselves. They all look a lot older than other band members and have facial hair, long hair etc. This is why we have chosen a Darwin Deez song to make it easier for us to find members.

Choosing the band

Finding members to be a part of our band is going to be a difficult. Making sure that every band member looks the part and suits the genre and style of music is very important. It can dramatically effect the success of the video if the band members aren't right for the style and genre. 

We have to find people to be in our band who suit and look like the actually band whom play the song. That is why we need to think about this when picking our song to ensure we can find people who will look right. For example if we chose to work on a kasabian song we would probably struggle to find people to be in our band who look similar to the kasabian members as they have a particular look about themselves which we don't know a lot of people who have this same look. Where as we could chose to focus on a band like foals or passion pit and would probably find it easier to find people for our band who look similar.
